You reach the Moselle via the junction canal, where you'll find the magnificent Montaigu park and château. Once back on the Moselle, the cycle route continues towards Charmes in a wild, bucolic setting. Freewheel along the towpath of the Canal des Vosges, crossing the canal bridge at Flavigny-sur-Moselle.

The Meurthe-et-Moselle Departmental Cycling Tourism Committee and Meurthe & Moselle Tourisme offer a long cycling route connecting Nancy to Sion. Along the way, you’ll admire some beautiful examples of Lorraine’s heritage, such as the Château de Haroué, the Basilica of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, the hill of Sion, and many others.

Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

Rich in the Gallo-Roman past of Arlon, the museum houses an impressive collection that bears witness to the daily life of this period.One of the peculiarities of the museum is its imposing and rich lapidary collection, composed of several dozen fragments of ancient funerary monuments.These blocks and the objects from Roman craftsmanship will teach you more about daily life at that time.

Place André-Maginot is located in the heart of the Ville-neuve, between the railway station and Rue Saint-Jean, and belongs to the Charles III - Centre Ville district. It was named in honor of André Maginot (1877-1932), the French politician best known for the creation of the Maginot Line. Previously known as "Place Saint-Jean", the square featured a gateway, Porte Saint-Jean1, which was destroyed in 1874. New buildings were then erected, some of them fine examples of Art 1900 in Nancy. In 1940, the square was renamed.

The former 18th-century Saint Joseph des Prémontrés church, commissioned by the Superior of the Prémontrés order in Pont-à-Mousson, became a Protestant temple in 1807 following Napoleon's decree granting Nancy an Oratory. Please call the mobile number given to book your visit.

It was originally the Renauld bank. The architecture is an example of the transition between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Gruber stained-glass windows, ironwork and Majorelle furniture can still be seen inside during the bank's opening hours.

Facing the station, this vast contemporary art and design gallery has taken over an emblematic Nancy building dating from the late 19th century. On the façade and forecourt, the permanent work Traits d'union, by designer Robert Stadler, brings together contemporary art, design and heritage. Traits d'Unions, a combination of luminous discs and movable sculptures, was created by the internationally-renowned Austrian designer Robert Stadler. It brings together contemporary art, heritage and design. The work continues inside Galerie Poirel. Commissioned by the City of Nancy/Métropole du Grand Nancy with the support of the French Ministry of Culture.

The former headquarters of L'Est Républicain since 1913, it's an architectural marvel. The premises served as the head office and home to journalists from the local Nancy agency until 2012. Technical services and editorial staff moved to the current L'Est Républicain headquarters in Houdemont in August 1985.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is housed in an Art Nouveau building designed by some of the greatest names of the Nancy School. Following a competition launched in 1905, the building was designed by architects Louis Marchal and Émile Toussaint. The stained glass windows on the ground floor, depicting Lorraine landscapes, were designed by Antonin Daum and Jacques Grüber. Finally, the ironwork was entrusted to Louis Majorelle. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is accessible to individuals on request from the CCI reception desk during weekday opening hours, provided there are no meetings in progress, in which case it can be viewed from the courtyard.
