Follow the yellow signs. Dogs are welcome on the Cap Lardier estate, as long as they are kept on a leash. They are allowed access to the beaches, if only to cross them (e.g.: plage des Brouis).

Learn about La Croix Valmer's rich history : from the ruins of the Roman villa Pardigon to its rich 19th century architectural heritage, from its winemaking history to the coastal paths once travelled by customs officers. Suggestion: Leave around 11 a.m. for a lunch break at one of the Croisiens restaurants on the Plage du Débarquement. At the Croix roundabout, opposite the Tourist Office, take the subway and go down Boulevard Tabarin, direction ‘Tabarin, Vergeron, Gigaro’. Turn right into Rue de l'Eglise, then take the next turning on the right. At the crossroads, take the footpath opposite on the right, signposted ‘Plage’. Follow the vines on your left. At the crow's feet, take the green lane on your left. After the vineyards, you can take the fitness trail and the botanical trail on the right, or continue straight ahead (the two paths merge). Cross the stream on your left, then take the path on the right between the vines. Cross the other stream and take the track in front of you. At the end of the track, you have two options: 1 - Go back along the same track 2- Turn right onto the footpath. At the roundabout, go past the D-Day car park and take the subway on your right. Immediately to your left, go up the Boulevard de la Mer up to the intersection with the shared lane. Turn right towards ‘Le Village’. After Boulevard de Thaiti, take the pavement on the right. Follow the children's square on the right and continue straight on until you reach the Tourist Office.

Pass “Les Mas de la Galiasse” (on your right). Turn left down the Corniche de la Pinède. At the bottom of the Corniche, cross the road and turn right. Turn left into Allée des Cassis. At the villa “Les Elephants” (on your left), take the 3 steps and the path on the right. At the asphalt road, turn left. Follow the signs to “Le Village”. At the La Croix traffic circle, take the underpass back to the Tourist Office.

In La Londe les Maures, facing the islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros Located at the tip of the rocky spur of the Argentière and Pellegrin beaches, in a totally protected area. The coastal underwater world can be discovered on the surface, with fins, mask and snorkel by anyone who can swim. By following the numbered buoys equipped with handrails you will discover the underwater panels presenting the ecosystem. At depths ranging from 0 to 4 metres, there is a wide variety of underwater landscapes (posidonia meadow, cymodocae, rocks, sand, scree...), inhabited by numerous species of fish, molluscs, crustaceans, starfish... The posidonia meadow: this is not a seaweed but a plant with marine flowers. Posidonia plays a very important role in fixing the sandy bottom, thanks to its roots which form a sort of barrier called the "matte" when they mix with the sediments. A real "lung" of the Mediterranean, this plant has been protected since 1988. The underwater trail can be explored on your own from June to September, following the numbered buoys. For the first time, the town of Cavalaire and the Conservatoire du Littoral are offering a special tour of the Maison Foncin every Wednesday. Built by Pierre Foncin, geographer and founder of the Alliance Française, the Maison Foncin, also known as the ‘Casteou dou souleou’ (meaning ‘castle of the sun’), is a landmark in Cavalaire's history.

This fine sandy beach was one of the key sites of the Provence Landings for the liberation of France in 1944. This is a wide beach, ideal for family holidays. The beach is supervised by lifeguards from June to September (variable hours depending on season) and you can get there with the free shuttle bus from mid-June to mid-September. You will easily spend the day : morning coffee with your toes in the water when the beach is quiet, then sunbathing and shopping, lunch in one of the beach restaurants, a water sports activity in the afternoon, an ice cream at 4.00 pm… What more could you need ! Welcome to the Domaine du Rayol, a 20-hectare protected natural area owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, at the foot of the Massif des Maures and opposite the Iles d'Hyères, in the Var region between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropez. Landscape gardener Gilles Clément designed the Jardin des Méditerranées, an invitation to travel through the world's Mediterranean landscapes and landscapes with more arid or subtropical climates. To discover this garden is to feel some of the emotions experienced by a botanical explorer as he surveys the planet!

The Voie Verte runs along the coast, offering stunning views of the sea and the Massif des Maures, and links the three hamlets in the commune: Le Rayol, Le Canadel and Pramousquier.
