1.2 km long, the seafront promenade will allow you to admire the beaches of Hossegor and the Place des Landais, an architectural site classified as an "area for the enhancement of architecture and heritage" of the most prestigious. You will take a footbridge inaugurated in 2010 while enjoying the view of the ocean and the Pyrenees chain.

Built on the former bed of the Adour, the Boudigau (1) which means canal in Gascon will be the starting point of our bucolic stroll. Along the cycle path leading to the marina and fishing port (2), you can stroll by bike, rollerblade or on foot, depending on your mood. If you take the beach path, it is impossible to miss the Capbreton fish market (3). Its particularity: the 19 boats in the port of Capbreton can sell their catch of the day directly without going through an auction, an ultra-fresh fish at a reasonable price: the best for gourmets! On the way to the Estacade (5), the Capitainerie (4) informs the sailors of the weather conditions. As for the Estacade, it is the emblematic monument which symbolises the revival of the port of Capbreton after the long centuries of decline which followed the diversion of the Adour.

To discover the history of the town of Capbreton, let yourself go along its narrow streets (1) also called "balènes", some of whose names are those of the sailors, masters and ship captains who lived here. Continue along the pedestrian street of Général-de-Gaulle (2) called "Grand'rue" and admire at numbers 48 and 56, the two medieval houses with corbelling and half-timbering called "Maisons des Anglais". Continuing your way, you will come across the charming tree-lined square "Yan dou Gouf" (3) (Jean Duboscq), poet and Gascon teacher. Nearby is the media library "L'Écume des jours" in homage to Boris Vian who stayed in Capbreton in 1940 and met his wife Michelle there. Linger a little further on at the Maison de l'Oralité et du Patrimoine (4) located in the heart of the town.

45mn -2.7km. Departure : CERS of Capbreton in front of the Prévent beach, go directly to the entrance of the path indicated by educational panels. On the top of the Savane beach, you can observe the blockhouses often covered with graphics and paintings made by the artist Darry Perier who initiates to live painting and makes discover the secrets and tricks of urban art. Further on, take an interest in the dune flora that develops on the different parts of the embryonic dune and the "white" dune. Continue opposite the beach of the Piste where you can contemplate the dunes of Capbreton in all their extent, you will then see the pante aux alouettes. Then discover the dune vineyard which produces a wine of character: the Vin des Dunes. Finish your walk by lingering on the characteristics of the flora and fauna of the back dune or "grey" dune.

From the picnic area on the road to Bénesse, climb up to the highest point at 64 m. Along a marked walking route of almost 2 km, discover the local fauna and flora. Perched on one of the viewpoints, contemplate the horizon, the Marais d'Orx and the 9 churches with the help of the orientation tables. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees and the ocean in the distance... "Wild Coast"! The name of the site holds the promise of a change of scenery and isolation. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, the 34 hectares of the Conservatoire's property in the commune of Soorts-Hossegor, form a well-preserved dune barrier of sufficient height and width to hide from beach users the residential areas hidden under the forest fringe. Between the ocean beach to the west and the Boulevard du Front de Mer which runs along the back dune to the east, the site is 95% composed of non-forested dunes. The natural forest edge is almost absent, only a few relics are present in the central zone, but are quite degraded. The dune is gently sloping on the beach side and steeper to the east. It is covered with sparse vegetation. It is a beautiful example of a dune of the south Landes coastline, which is rare and not very prone to erosion.
