Richard Piriou established his own poultry farm in 2014, on the family farm in Guillerval in the south of Essonne. Son of farmers, this poultry farmer raises bare-necked chickens, farm guineafowls, as well as capons for the end of year celebrations. All are raised in a natural outdoor setting and wander through a grassy path of several dozen hectares. The farmer also cultivates cereals on part of his farm according to a sustainable agriculture. Richard's poultry are fed with wheat and corn from the farm but also with oilseeds and protein crops. Richard Priou sells his products on the markets of Etampes or Auvers-Saint-Georges (every other Saturday morning) and then on the markets of Guillerval or Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière (every other Saturday afternoon). It is also possible to place an order directly with the breeder and collect the poultry from the farm.

The association Rêv'Anion, located in Essonne between Lardy and Janville sur Juine, offers to visitors of all ages the chance to explore the Gillevoisin castle and its surrounding forests with one or more donkeys with hiking pack. Different possible circuits, adapted to the capacities of each one. Map provided with marked trails. Everything is explained before departure. Theme walks and hikes for groups all year round. All equipment is provided to leave in peace with his fellow traveler. Our association also offers animal mediation sessions, adapted for people in fragile situations. Discovery and initiation to land yachting on the former air base 217 tracks. Introductions to land yachting, supervised on marked, secured and adapted circuits, are set up on the tracks by state-certified instructors. The driving begins after a few minutes of explanation and material preparation. The instructor makes the course evolve according to the progress made by the drivers, their wishes, the weather, the ground configuration, etc. Regularly during the session, the monitor intervenes collectively and individually to advance the practitioners. Sometimes, when the weather and the practitioners skills allow it, rides in land yacht on the site can be organized. The participants have at their disposal a single-seater land yacht for two (or one each according to the chosen formula) and a helmet complying with regulatory requirements. The yachts are adjusted to the size of the driver. Recommended clothing: closed shoes required, outdoor clothing adapted to the weather of the day, glasses (sun glasses or safety glasses for example). Etampes Museum owes its reputation to a collection of 19th-century sculptures. Besides the entire works of Elias Robert, since 1875 the museum has exhibited drawings, paintings, archaeological items and historical documents as well as a few fossils.

Villeconin Castle was built in the late 14th century by Jean de Montaigu, superintendent of Kings Charles VI finances. The castle, typical of the medieval era with its keep, its round tower and its guards room, is surrounded by moats at the edge of the parc. The guided tour by the owner family ends with a walk in the park where everyone is invited to walk freely. The garden is composed of boxwood clusters and a wooded area. The flowerbeds alternate with perennial flowering staggered, rosebushes and fuchsia.

12th-century church of Saint Hilaire

Property of the Departmental Council of Essonne, the Domain of Chamarande is classified as a historical monument. The park of 98 ha has been refitted by landscape architect Jacques Sgard. The Domain also houses the departmental archives. Atypical, heritage and cultural site, the Departmental Domain of Chamarande is a key element of Essonne territory. Unique in Ile-de-France, it combines both an artistic and cultural center, a built complex and a landscaped area recognized as "Jardin remarquable" (outstanding garden). The entire cultural program has a wide audience and is promoting the democratization of culture to all Essonne.

Domain of Méréville is assessed as the last example of picturesque garden designed in the late 18th century. It is a remarkable and iconic landscaped park of Anglo-Chinese gardens of the late eighteenth century. It was composed by François-Joseph Bélanger then Hubert Robert on behalf of financier Jean-Joseph de Laborde, wealthy sponsor and great lover of gardens. It belongs to the category of picturesque gardens which mark the rupture with the ideal of regular garden fashionable until that time: composed of an array, articulated around scenes that we discover during the walk and along the water, the landscaped garden is a tribute to an idealized and sublimated nature. The Domain has been owned by the Department Council of Essonne since December 2000 and is the subject of restoration work campaigns. In 2019 it obtained the national label "Jardin Remarquable".

Boussard Park is a garden of the "Art Deco" era created in 1927 - the only one of its kind in Île-de-France! Its design is simple and consistent with the architectural trends of the era of "Art for All", which wanted to make beautiful with simple and economical materials: industrial bricks, concrete slabs, mosaics of broken tiles and stairs hewn sandstone.

Bright house made of bricks and stones from the 17th and 18th centuries, turned towards nature whose decorations and furniture are largely inspired. Its sumptuous romantic park is the fruit of the work of the best landscapers of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Classified as "Remarkable Garden", Courson's romantic English park is the result of the work of great landscapers such as Berthault and the Bühler brothers. Its 35 hectares, furrowed by long alleys winding around a pond, shelter a rich vegetation: flowering camellias, magnolias, lilacs and azaleas in the spring, hydrangeas and roses bloom in summer, or even flamboyant colors of the beeches, oaks and maples in autumn, will amaze you! The castle, listed as a Historic Monument, perpetuates a certain French tradition of splendid and refined aristocratic residences, while affirming its personality of large residence in brick and "transparent" stone. Former residence of Lamoignon, it was built in the 17th century around an inner courtyard.

La Doudou is a cattle farm located nearby the forest in Cheptainville. It offers visits of the farm. In the shop, they sell a lot of food produced in the farm. This educational farm offers tours during which you can admire more than sixty dairy goats, as well as cows, horses, pigs, donkeys, ponies, the farmyard with its chickens, geese, ducks… Milking goats and cows takes place around 4:00 p.m. The farm also houses the Bois Blanc agricultural museum which will transport you to the past with its collection of items and old tools on agriculture and rural life. The farm produces milk and transforms it into cheeses, cottage cheese, cream, butter. It also sells raw and pasteurized milk.

The museum "Meet old crafts" located in the center of Bouray-sur-Juine aims to publicize the old crafts of yesteryear trades Composed by 7 rooms on more than 250m² with over 4,000 objects, the museum also runs through the way of life in the years 1850-1950 at home, at school or at the grocery store, through the presentation of tools but also scenes of everyday life.
