Our gîtes are ideally situated at the confluence of 3 départements: Indre et Loire, Sarthe and Maine et Loire, and 2 regions: Centre and Pays de Loire. We love nature and garage sales, so we're always on the lookout for unusual and everyday objects, and enjoy the produce from our garden. We want to do our bit for our planet and our beautiful country by growing our fruit and vegetables as naturally as possible, by eating our hens' eggs.... but also by sorting our rubbish, by being vigilant about our energy consumption and by giving everyday objects a 2nd life as often as possible. All the while enjoying life ...... We also offer on-site cocktail workshops. Today, we'd like to share our experiences... In the outbuildings of a farmhouse over 100 years old on our 7,000 m2 property, we'll welcome you as our guests and invite you to share part of our home.

The Chicaudière gite, located on the borders of Anjou and Touraine, overlooks the Maulne valley in a verdant setting of absolute peace and quiet. The gite is housed in the outbuildings of a 16th-century manor house. We welcome family groups all year round on a self-catering basis. The GR 36 is nearby and there are many sites to visit in the surrounding area.

5 km from the medieval town of Sainte-Suzanne and 2 km from the Forest of la Charnie, this former 1064 farmhouse, entirely renovated and converted into a character gîte is surround by meadows and forests.

Welcome to Bozena & Alain, on their renovated farm, in the countryside north of Durtal, 4 km from the town centre, on a property of several hectares, managed using agro-ecology (permaculture) and close to the GR35 footpath. Two pleasant, peaceful guest rooms, one with a private entrance. Ground floor: A recently renovated room, cool in summer, with a double bed, private WC & bathroom, with the possibility of enjoying a sauna session (to be booked: €10/person for a 1-hour session with a complimentary cold drink). Small table and chairs on the lawn in front of the room Upstairs: A large, spacious bedroom with a double bed, private WC and bathroom. Available in the room: electric kettle, tea, coffee, herbal teas and sugar. An organic breakfast is included in the nightly rate and will be served the following morning. Please note: The house is equipped with a plant purification system that requires a pond to collect the filtered water. This pond is located in a part of the property not accessible to guests, so children must remain under their parents' supervision. On site, in a communal area, you can enjoy a yoga session (Mondays at 11am and Tuesdays at 7pm). A friend, Aurélie, provides massage treatments at home and can come to you if you would like a massage.

Alain Vernholes has a story to tell about each of the 500 trees he has planted on his Boiscordes property in Rémalard: from the fruit of the service tree that has to be digested by birds in order to germinate, to the cross-fertilisation of two varieties of elms to create a hybrid resistant to the Dutch Elm Disease which decimated the entire European population of elms, to how he managed to bring back seeds and young plants from his travels in the Americas, Asia and throughout Europe. Take a tour guided by Alain Vernholes and enjoy the glorious autumn colours in his arboretum.

The Estate has an interest of art and history because of its typical evolution of a large land area in the Perche from the 17th to the 19th century. Few castles in the Perche can be proud of the signing of many architects and landscape renowned as Lonné.

The Chèreperrine castle is a vestige of an impressive mansion from the 18th century, built by the Marquise des Alleurs, mistress of the Grand Dauphin. Partially destroyed by a fire in 1925, only the central part remains. A chapel shelters a beautiful trompe l'oeil from the 19th century. Guided tour of the chapel and the ice house (1757).

In an authentic Percheron setting, and after a warm welcome near the mill, set off with Michel to meet a dozen or so horses of all ages, while you listen to the stories of a genuine Perche "breeder". Michel is always happy to share his expert knowledge and you can't help but feel his passion…

Manor from the 14th and 16th century (the oldest of the Perche region). Stronghold from the Hundred Years' War, embellished under Louis XII and Henri IV, but aslo partly destroyed. Dungeon, 2 towers, portcullis unique in France. A Galery from the Renaissance periode, 2 stairs from Henri IV and an amazing fireplace. Tour of the inside and of the outside.

Since 2010, the gardens have been laid down around buildings that are currently being restored and are typical of the Perche region, including a 15th and 16th century manor house, a farm house, seigniorial barn, stables and pigsties, bakery, hemp oven and covered well. The garden has been adapted to the buildings and their uses, with a vegetable garden and orchard, preserving traditional Perche cider and eating apples near the communal areas, a medieval medicinal plant garden near the manor house, an osmanthus and grass broderie, a collection of ornamental cherry trees, oak, lime trees and hawthorn. Over 300 vintage and botanical roses, a collection of peonies and magnolias. The garden is continually changing, and year after year its form and structure emerges. There are non-guided visits, but a guide is available on request.

In a contemporary building bearing the French High Quality Environmental Standard label, come and taste our cider, apple juice, Pommeau and Calvados. At the edge of the centuries-old Bellême forest, come and discover our vintage ciders, certified organic and AOP Cidre du Perche. Let yourself be guided on a tour that will take you from the deep roots of cider to its sweet effervescence. One-hour guided tour by appointment, including a visit to the orchard and cellar, and tasting of cider and apple juice. On-site sales by appointment.

Built on former sarcophagus in the beginning of the 12th century. Built in sandstone and granite, on a rocky promontory. Frescos from the 12th and 14th centuries, restored in 2006. Nearby, in a vast grassland, The Saint-Cénéri little chapel (15th century) on the site of the Saint ermite’s oratory. Stained glasse created in 2007 by Cathy Van Hollebeke. The church is open every day through the year. The chapel is open from Juin to September (call before coming).

The "Guinguette au coin de la rue" welcomes you every Friday evening and Saturday morning from the end of April to the end of August, in a semi-cozy space nestling in the shadow of our church steeple, a stone's throw from the Au coin de la rue bistro (place Adam Becker in Blandouet). As well as picturesque lanterns, pennants and small fences, the usual ingredients of our late afternoons and evenings will be on hand: good humour, nibbles and liquids of all kinds and for all tastes.
