It is since 1836 that many horses have been treading the tracks of the Bordeaux-Le Bouscat racecourse every year in the 3 disciplines: walk, trot, gallop. In 56 hectares of greenery, more than 32 meetings are held every year, i.e. more than 230 races, including 12 national events including 2 Quinté+. You will be able to enjoy the spectacle offered by the races free of charge, installed in one of the 600 seats in the grandstand or even as close as possible to the track, in order to taste the exhilaration of the last 100 metres. A remarkable example of 18th century neo-classical architecture with facades designed in a Greek style, the Petit Hôtel Labottière is a true "hôtel particulier", which is the name given to the prestigious residences built in the city, out of sight, i.e. "between the courtyard and the garden". The entire hotel is classified as a Historic Monument (carriage entrance, courtyard, house, outbuildings, garden). Once past the porte cochère, you enter a building that has retained its original attributes and original composition, making it a rare testimony to the art of living in 18th century Bordeaux, before the French Revolution.

Opened in 2013 along the Hippodrome, this 5-hectare wood is a life-size educational tool to raise public awareness of nature in the city and the challenges of its preservation. The monthly calendar of events can be consulted on the Town Hall website.

The Palais Gallien is today the only visible remains of the Roman city of Burdigala. Built in the early 2nd century AD, its original dimensions are impressive, 130 meters long and 114 meters wide. The amphitheatre was located on the outskirts of the ancient city. Games - often cruel - were held here before large crowds. 20-25 000 people could be seated on terraced rows of wooden benches! The Palais Gallien amphitheatre is listed as a Historical Monument. A few arcades and seating rows are still standing, and can be seen from rues du Palais Gallien, Albert Barraud, and Emile Fourcand.
