Jardin public de Bordeaux
Description
Created in the 18th century, this 10-hectare formal garden was transformed into a landscaped garden between 1856 and 1858 by L.B. Fisher. The site features an arboretum, a botanical garden, a library branch and, worth a visit, the Natural History Museum.
All year round, families can enjoy children's attractions such as a puppet theater, a "small foam" boat on the Garden pond, swings and play areas. The paths are perfect for joggers, and the lawns are a delight for city dwellers as soon as the first rays of sunshine appear.
