This tour will show you how past architecture has been integrated into contemporary urban design. Open your eyes wide and admire every detail.

Let the salamander guide you through 2,000 years of Beauvais history, from the Gallo-Roman ramparts to the Quadrilatère and, of course, the cathedral. Throughout the tour, you'll find explanatory panels to complete your visit. On each panel, additional information is available via smartphone. Caution: bring flat shoes, as there are some cobbled streets.

This greenway follows the forest paths of the magnificent beech-oak forest of Hez-Froidmont. Currently managed by the ONF, this forest, like most others in the Isère region, has royal ancestry. Along the way, you'll see a statue of Saint-Louis watching over the village of La Neuville en-Hez. Indeed, the sovereign is said to have been born in the castle of this peaceful village. Stop off at the charming little town of Bresles! Discover its many monuments, including the 13th-century château-fort, now the town hall but formerly the residence of the bishops of Beauvais. Admire the 10th-century church of Saint-Gervais et Saint Prothais, with its Carolingian nave. Stroll through the town's narrow streets and lick the windows of its various shops. En route, stop off at the town of Clermont, which boasts a beautiful 13th-century church, a town hall with atypical architecture and a very pleasant town center! This greenway will take you on a journey through bucolic landscapes and soothing forests!

From the Middle Ages to the 20th century, education was very much alive in Beauvais, with illustrious pupils including Jean Racine and Félix Faure. The town still boasts some monumental lycées, or "school palaces", reflecting the important debates on public education at the end of the 19th century.

This route was built on a former railway sidetrack. It offers a beautiful recreational area, from the gates of Beauvais to the hedged farmland and wet meadows of the Pays de Bray and then Normandy. The route follows the banks of the Thérain river, past post-war buildings and glimpses of Saint-Pierre cathedral, an unfinished Gothic masterpiece, before joining the Avelon river, its small bridges and ancient mills, and the Saint-Paul amusement park. The route then offers a variety of bucolic landscapes: ponds, beautiful farms and small houses that remind us that Normandy is close at hand. Numerous gaps through the curtains of trees and shrubs reveal fields and pastures of varied colors. To the west of Lachapelle-aux-Pots, the verges are wooded and much shadier. At Saint-Germer-de-Fly, the greenway leaves the Oise to join the Seine-Maritime.

To the south-west of Beauvais, discover a section of the GR "Pays du Thérain" before heading off in the direction of Saint-Martin-le-N?ud. Stop off in the village: Roman sarcophagi, Romanesque church, former Templar quarries, Roman road. After a detour to the village of Saint-Léger-en-Bray (town hall and 16th-century church), you can explore the vast meadows and woods of the Beauvaisis region. Variant (9 km instead of 14.5 km): After the T-junction, turn right. Follow the path for a few hundred metres, then fork left towards the village of Saint-Martin-le-Noeud. When you reach the main road, turn right (be careful!) to rejoin the course.

To the south-west of Beauvais, discover a portion of the GR "Pays du Thérain" before setting off in the direction of Saint-Martin-le-Nœud. Make a stop in the village: Roman sarcophagi, Romanesque church, old quarries that belonged to the Templars, Roman road. After a detour in the village of Saint-Léger-en-Bray (town hall and 16th century church), you can discover the large meadows and woods of Beauvaisis.

Just a few minutes from the town centre of Beauvais, this very rugged circuit runs through a bucolic setting alternating between plains and forests. Along the way, the walker will discover a rich heritage: castle, chapel, former abbey.. Follow the beacons in yellow paint (FFRandonnée) because several types of beacons are present on this course.

Between woods, fields and valley, this 10.5 km loop allows you to discover some of the paths of Beauvaisis. In the village of Guignecourt, letting your steps follow the course of the river Liovette, you can visit the remarkable Saint-Aubin church or observe ancient graffiti on the outside walls of this religious building.
