Departure from the Lac de Longemer for this sporting route in the heights of Xonrupt-Longemer Circuit of 14 km and 350 m of positive difference in altitude. Clockwise direction. Follow the markers with the number 22 on a red background.

Parking : route du Lac (D67A), at the left-hand turn, 100 m before the Verte Vallée campsite, parking on the right between the road and the cycle path. Walking trail : take the path over the Vologne creek marked with a red cross towards the Cascade de Retournemer. Follow the path and go around the lake of Retournemer. Shortly after the forest road barrier, turn right and follow the red triangle up to the Cascade Charlemagne (10 min. steep ascent). Go back on your steps. Weather conditions may make this route impassable.

Parking : parking 530, route de la Plage. Walking trail : turn right and pass in front of the Chapelle Saint Florent. Take the footbridge. At the bridge, you have 2 options : 1. take the path Le Delta du Ruisseau Saint Jacques on your left (not accessible to pushchairs). 2. follow the D67a road which borders the lake. At the camping du Lac, take the path along the lake to the restaurant. Then walk along the road to finish the tour. Weather conditions may make this route impassable.

You can see the ski jumping . Its plastic coating allows summer use. Maybe you have the chance to see the full drive jumpers. Do not hesitate to go see them more closely with the path that will take you to the edge of the track. FOR THE OTHERS: The trail of the round of the Lake is decorated with educational tables to guide you to discover this amazing natural environment! SEE DURING THE WALK: The calm waters of the lake are highly valued by ducks . GOOD TO KNOW: Original cooler, Lake was dammed in 1961 to operate power turbines textile mills in the valley. Which also promotes the formation of a floating bog. Accessible trails depending on weather conditions.

THE VERTBRUCHE: DEPARTURE / ARRIVAL: Leisure Site of Vertbruche 2.5 km from the city center or the Domaine du Haut Bluches 3 km from the city center. DISTANCE: 2.5 km. Lac de Longemer "mirror of 1000 reflections", is a natural lake of glacial origin, languished at the foot of the Vosges mountains (76ha of surface) which offers a changing luminosity. A paradise for fishermen, you can also enjoy walking, swimming (unsupervised), pedal boat rental. Very preserved and located in a classified site, it is one of the three bodies of water of the Valley of the Lakes. A signposted footpath allows you to walk around the lake in about 1 hour.

Viewpoint on the lake of Longemer. Its name would come from the fall in the precipice of an old horse, belonging to the farmer of the stubble of Fachepremont. Since this accident, the rock would be called in patois "lè reuche do vié chevau", the rock of the old horse. In Lorraine patois, in the singular, the horse was called "lo chevau", but taken for a plural, the French speakers added an "x". Warning: the access to this viewpoint is by a technical path. Good shoes are required.

Situated on the shores of Lac de Longemer, the little chapel was built around 1449 by the Chanoinesses de Remiremont to perpetuate the memory of Bilon, an officer of Gérard d?Alsace who became a hermit and lived in 1056 at a place still known today as "la butte Bilon". Having fallen into ruin, it was rebuilt in 1727 and dedicated to Saint-Florent by a bishop of Strasbourg. Opened to the public on Heritage Days, the hermit?s bones are on display.

The delta of the Saint-Jacques stream is located on the western shore of the Longemer lake. The site occupies 6 ha of the place called l'Envers de Longemer. It is one of the last natural lakeshores in the Vosges. Its banks are home to exceptional fauna and flora, such as the last lake grass beds in the Vosges. Located between the Saint-Florent chapel and the archaeological site of the Bilon hillock, the delta is also rich in historical heritage, between myth and reality.

Very bright in fine weather, the dining room opens onto a lovely terrace in season, overlooking the Moineaudière estate and the valley.
