The Legend of the Fadets .. In the imagination of our ancestors, the fadets or leprechauns, a kind of goblin with a deformed body, lived in caves and underground passages of the Vienne valley. Mentioned as inhabited in 1314, this fiefdom was part of the Calais castellany and in the 15th century became the property of the Frotier family, who are credited with its reconstruction.
