This fun and recreational park is the western entrance to the Parc des Jalles, which runs along the Vallée de la Jalle in Saint-Jean-d'Illac at its mouth with the Garonne. A large part of the site is dedicated to sports activities (rugby, football and Australian football, archery, weightlifting...). More educational, or just for the pleasure of strolling along the banks, the walk along the Jalle will lead you to the sources of the Thil and Gamarde rivers, passing through many play areas: water games, islands of plants, a plant maze, arboretum ... a little further on you will see an old grain mill, which is not open to the public Occasionally, part of the site can also be used for circuses, garage sales, the Jalles House Rock festival and other events.

A monumental fountain in Mérignac, the Fontaine d'Arlac has a natural and constant spring. Built at the end of the 18th century, this fountain could be the work of Peixotto, the owner of the Maison Carrée d'Arlac, or of the Jurade de Bordeaux. It may have served as a large reservoir for the water destined for Bordeaux.

It owes its name to Pope Clement V who owned it in the 14th century, when it was still called Bertrand de Goth. Today it is one of the 40 properties that Bernard Magrez, an influential wine man in Bordeaux, owns around the world! The wine estate itself covers 90 hectares, 30 of which are laid out around a park of prime greenery and an Eiffel-style glass roof, in the young Pessac-Léognan appellation created in 1987.
