Learn about La Croix Valmer's rich history : from the ruins of the Roman villa Pardigon to its rich 19th century architectural heritage, from its winemaking history to the coastal paths once travelled by customs officers. Suggestion: Leave around 11 a.m. for a lunch break at one of the Croisiens restaurants on the Plage du Débarquement. At the Croix roundabout, opposite the Tourist Office, take the underpass and head down Boulevard Tabarin towards “Tabarin, Vergeron, Gigaro”. Turn right onto Rue de l’Eglise, then take the next right. At the junction, take the path opposite on the right towards “Plages”. Follow the vineyards on your left. At the Y-junction, take the greenway on your left. After the vineyards, you can take the Fitness Trail and the Botanical Trail which branch off to the right, or continue straight ahead (the two paths eventually meet). Cross the stream on your left, then take the path on the right between the vineyards. Cross the other stream and take the track straight ahead. At the end of the path, cross the road and turn right. At the roundabout, turn left to reach Débarquement Beach. Here, you have two options: - Return via the same route - Or, go back to the roundabout and take the underpass on the left. At the exit, turn immediately left and head up Boulevard de la Mer to the junction with the shared-use path. Turn right towards “Le Village”. At the junction with Chemin de Provence, turn right, still heading towards “Le Village”. At the top of Chemin de Provence, walk past the children’s playground on the right and continue straight on to reach the Tourist Office.

Between village and nature, here is a flowery and colorful walk to do in January & February when the mimosas are in season ! There are panoramic views of the hills and the sea-side view will take your breath away. Drive up the Rue Louis Martin. Turn right at the tabacco shop and take the Route du Brost in the direction of the “Gendarmerie”. After the gendarmerie, take the footpath on the left. After the stadium, follow the path to the left. At the asphalt road, turn left downhill. Turn right at “La Galiasse”. Follow the asphalt road over the small bridge. Leave “La Colline des Sarrasins” on your left. Pass “Les Mas de la Galiasse” (on your right). Turn left down the Corniche de la Pinède. At the bottom of the Corniche, cross the road and turn right. Turn left into Allée des Cassis. At the villa “Les Elephants” (on your left), take the 3 steps and the path on the right. At the asphalt road, turn left. Follow the signs to “Le Village”. At the La Croix traffic circle, take the underpass back to the Tourist Office.

At the stream, cross it and take the path between the vineyards. Turn left to cross a stream a second time. Take an immediate right and walk up the road. At the junction, turn right. Walk alongside the vineyards on your right all the way to the car park of Les 3 Îles. At the end of the car park, take "Rue de l’Eglise", in front of you. At the Church, walk up the road on your left. At the top of the road, turn left again and walk up "Boulevard Tabarin" towards the village.

Located in the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, Domaine du Bourrian is a vineyard steeped in history, dating back to 1871. Completely renovated in 2018, it now embodies a first-rate winegrowing operation, combining technical modernity with Provencal authenticity. The estate extends over a single vineyard of 23.5 hectares, classified as AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP Vin des Maures. Certified organic, the vines produce around 150,000 bottles a year. In La Londe les Maures, facing the islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros Located at the tip of the rocky spur of the Argentière and Pellegrin beaches, in a totally protected area. The coastal underwater world can be discovered on the surface, with fins, mask and snorkel by anyone who can swim. By following the numbered buoys equipped with handrails you will discover the underwater panels presenting the ecosystem. At depths ranging from 0 to 4 metres, there is a wide variety of underwater landscapes (posidonia meadow, cymodocae, rocks, sand, scree...), inhabited by numerous species of fish, molluscs, crustaceans, starfish... The posidonia meadow: this is not a seaweed but a plant with marine flowers. Posidonia plays a very important role in fixing the sandy bottom, thanks to its roots which form a sort of barrier called the "matte" when they mix with the sediments. A real "lung" of the Mediterranean, this plant has been protected since 1988. The underwater trail can be explored on your own from June to September, following the numbered buoys. An Aquaguide for identifying the species is available at the Tourist Office. Equipment required, not supplied: mask, snorkel, fins.

For the first time, the town of Cavalaire and the Conservatoire du Littoral are offering a special tour of the Maison Foncin every Wednesday. Built by Pierre Foncin, geographer and founder of the Alliance Française, the Maison Foncin, also known as the ‘Casteou dou souleou’ (meaning ‘castle of the sun’), is a landmark in Cavalaire's history.

This fine sandy beach was one of the key sites of the Provence Landings for the liberation of France in 1944. This is a wide beach, ideal for family holidays. The beach is supervised by lifeguards from June to September (variable hours depending on season) and you can get there with the free shuttle bus from mid-June to mid-September. Welcome to the Domaine du Rayol, a 20-hectare protected natural area owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, at the foot of the Massif des Maures and opposite the Iles d'Hyères, in the Var region between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropez.
