On the way out, the route uses roads and panoramic paths overlooking the Garonne valley. The return journey takes place on the old Roman road at the foot of the hillside, out of the water of the Garonne River.

This short but physical circuit offers many views of the hillsides of the Pays de Serres, the Garonne valley and the undulating hillsides of Gascony on the horizon. The chapel of Aureillac deserves attention, even if it can only be seen from the outside.

This long, rugged route will delight mountain bikers and experienced hikers who will be able to discover a portion of the Canal de Garonne greenway, a link between Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées.

360° of panoramas, from the nearest to the farthest, the Garonne valley, the surrounding villages of Clermont-Soubiran or Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac, the bastide of Puymirol or, on a clear day, the peaks of the Pyrenees...

Located in the middle of nature, in a hilly and wooded landscape, the village of Tayrac is a haven of peace. The village is mainly known for being the place where the "Venus of Tayrac" was discovered. A headless statue was indeed discovered and identified as a Venus and then, 40 years later, exceptionally, her head was found. The whole is now kept in the Fine Arts Museum of Agen. Tayrac has a parish church listed as a Historic Monument that you can admire and this walk will also allow you to discover the chapel of Cambot as well as beautiful stone houses, a menhir and many pigeon lofts which mark out this itinerary traced in the hills of the country of Serres, between the valleys of Gandaille and Séoune.

This small circuit, starting from a typical bastide village built in the 13th and 14th centuries, offers no difficulty, but requires great vigilance when crossing the departmental roads. The vineyards of the Brulhois and the plum orchards of Ente share the cultivated area.

This tour will make you discover the bastide of Puymirol. Founded in 1246 by Raymond VII, Count of Toulouse, it has built its ramparts on the surrounding limestone cliffs. The regular urban organization is organized along a linear axis that crosses the central square in the middle and pierces the ramparts to the east and west. As early as 1247, a castle and a church were built there. Today, the bastide has remained within its walls and if the ramparts have lost their height, they allow you to admire a 360° panorama. The round tour, about 2 km long at the foot of the ramparts, will delight walkers.

From the Abbey of Saint-Maurin, in the Escorneboeuf valley, to the Ferrussac mill located on the Séoune river, this circuit crosses orchards and crosses "the border" of Tarn-et-Garonne. During the walk, stop at the museum of rural life and trades of the past of Saint-Maurin, where you will discover the daily life of the village in the 1900s. This village is imbued with an original legend. According to a Moissagais manuscript, Maurin, born in Agen, came back to the country after studying in Italy to convert the people of Agen to Christianity. The pagan governor of Lectoure had him imprisoned, but Maurin escaped with the soldiers guarding him. All those who escaped were recaptured and beheaded in Anglars, where the village was established. According to the legend, Maurin carried his head near a fountain where the Christians of Anglars buried his body.

This easy route has only one real hill before reaching the church of Saint-Pierre-del-Pech. The route continues along a shaded path and then on an open plateau, allowing you to discover the surrounding hillsides and some farms with stone dovecotes.

Fruit growers for 4 generations, the farm of Eloi, Anne, Vincent, Côme and Elodie, is a 14th century fortified mill, located in the heart of the South-West. They produce apple juice, Agen prunes in different forms, dried tomatoes, blueberries, kiwis and several varieties of apples. The farm is certified HVE (High Environmental Value). The fortified town of Caudecoste stands in the Garonne valley. The village dates back to the 10th century and its charter dates from the 13th century. The town follows a rather irregular orthogonal plan, but boasts an impressive town square where the half-timbered houses sit upon wooden stilts.

The typical village of Puymirol dominates the hilly countryside on its rocky spur. The hiking trail offers to cross these landscapes which alternate between undergrowth, cultivated plains and dry hillsides You will observe the typical avifauna of this agricultural environment: the soulcie sparrow, the zizi sparrow, the woodlark, the turtle-dove. The slopes of Saint Urcisse to the south-east of Puymirol also offer an interesting biotope and are home to the European nightjar, which can be seen at dusk on spring nights.

25 km from Agen, on the Lot-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne borders, Saint-Maurin, a "village of character", welcomes you to the Pays de Serres, nestled in a green valley where the Escorneboeuf river flows. The construction of the abbey of Saint Maurin dates from the end of the 11th century, following its affiliation to the abbey of Moissac and the Benedictine order. This large monastic complex swarmed with numerous churches and priories in the surrounding area, as many possessions that showed its influence and importance within a radius of 20 kilometres. Ruined then restored several times during the Hundred Years' War and during the Wars of Religion, it was during the Revolution that the buildings were sold in lots. Today, one can still admire the choir of the former abbey church as well as two chapels, the cloister, the monastery buildings, the abbey castle and its gardens.
