A short hike which gives you the opportunity to discover the old quarters of Brassac as well as beautiful views in the countryside. Time: 2 hour - Distance: 6.5 km You’ll start your hike on the 12th century bridge that links the castles on each bank of the Agout river. You will then pass through the oldest quarters of the village and by some nice viewpoints.

Time 2 hours - Distance 6 km Strolling through the oldest part of Brassac, a medieval village and along the banks of the Agout river, this walk takes you quickly into the countryside. GPS parking : 43.62882, 2.49675 The Agout river, emerging from a steep gorge, meanders into a vast basin. In the Middle Ages, it separated the castles of the lordships of Castelnau (right bank) and Belfortès (left bank). This river carried away the bodies of the belligerents during the struggles between Protestants and Catholics in the 16th century. It operated the fulling mills (paradors) which pressed the woolen cloths to give them their consistent texture. In the 17th century Brassac was already producing the best quality, called cordelats. Brassac was developing thanks to the energy of its river and its men.

Duration 3h- Distance 12,4 km This route, reserved for all non-motorised modes of transport, partly follows the old railway line that linked Brassac to Castres, known locally as the "petit train de Brassac". The trail begins at the site of the former Brassac railway station, which no longer exists. After crossing the Ruisseau du Terrail on a railway bridge that is still in existence, the path leads down the Agout valley to Bouissas via Saint Agnan. A giant carrousel game of the Goose to start with, a nice rise among the rocks and a magnificent viewpoint at the latest. Time 30 min to 1 hours 50 min - Distance 3km Have a game of the Goose and set off on a discovery of the Peyremourou Rock. It was a “trembling rock” before, overturned at the beginning of the 20th century. It was nevertheless classified in 1921 because it still is unique in the Sidobre. GPS parking : 43.6618, 2.4485 Before the old town hall, take the road up towards Armengaud for about 1 km, then turn left at the sign for "Le Four". At the first house, follow the path between two hedges to the right. You pass the Cabane farm before reaching the tarmac. First follow the road to the right downhill for about 200 metres, then take a small, fairly steep path to the left towards the stream. Cross a small bridge before heading back up towards La Grange. Cross the road and follow a forest track. You cross a small stream before descending to Baffignac, where there is a small Protestant mountain church.
