Discover the charm of La balme-de-sillingy at Domaine de la Caille

This loop starts at the La Balme de Sillingy cemetery and takes in the fabulous Mandallaz massif, with its panoramic views over the Annecy basin. The Mandallaz mountain is a pre-Alpine range separated to the north from the Salève by the Val des Usses and the Pont de la Caille. Easily visible from the surrounding villages, this itinerary takes you to the southern end of the mountain, overlooking La Balme de Sillingy. A popular spot for caving, the area is home to numerous caves and underground cavities that trace the history of the massif, and you can discover some of the most remarkable on your walk: the Grotte du Curé, the Grotte du Maquis, which sheltered several resistance fighters during the Second World War, and the Grotte de Lesvaux, which in 1977 revealed the presence of skeletons dating back to Neolithic times. Following this mostly wooded trail, you'll reach the 900-metre-high Tête de la Mandallaz, a superb viewpoint over Lake Annecy and the Annecy conurbation, the Alps and the Montagne d'Age opposite.

This equestrian loop will make you discover the different panoramas around Marlioz. Your departure will be at "Chez les Gays". This itinerary is multi-practice (equestrian, pedestrian and mountain bike), so be careful for the safety of all. This hilly path mixing forests, meadows, riversides and villages will make you travel through Haute-Savoie. Numerous viewpoints on the Crêt de la Neige, the Aravis massif or even the Mont-Blanc await on your path. Equestrian centres are located on your path. This itinerary is marked for three practice (equestrian, pedestrian and mountain bike), be careful for the safety of all practitioners.

A 1.5 km discovery trail on Poisy Marsh. A theme walk that’s fun for children and dotted with information panels about the plant and animal life on the Marsh. This family-friendly itinerary is accessible to pushchair and wheelchair users. You may well see dragonflies, common frogs, common toads, newts and various birds such as the Eurasian reed warbler and the black kite. Drinking water is available at the departure point, as well as an observatory and picnic tables.

Unique in France, the National Collection currently comprises 350 trees of 145 different varieties, including some rare specimens. Stop off at the Tourist Information Point to discover this collection. After submitting an application to the Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisées (CCVS) in 2016, the cherry blossom collection was awarded the "Collection Nationale" label. This collection will enable you to discover all the diversity offered by these trees (flowering, foliage, bark...). Pure white, dark pink, pale pink, and rare colors (yellow, purple red, green), these single flowers with 5 petals, or double flowers with up to 100 petals, offer an incredible spectacle in spring. Autumn and winter are just as exceptional, thanks to colorful foliage and bark that can sometimes resemble jewels. This collection is also a way of safeguarding cherry tree varieties, some of which have only one surviving specimen in Japan today. This collaborative initiative strengthens the cultural ties between France and Japan. The collection was inaugurated in 2014 by the Japanese vice-consul, who was very surprised to find these plants in Haute-Savoie. This was the occasion for a grand celebration attended by the people of Haute-Savoie and numerous Japanese nationals. With the aim of expanding this collection, the site hopes in the long term to be able to accommodate more than 500 trees of 250 to 300 different varieties, not only cherry trees, but also other plants from Asia (Japanese maple, caramel tree, peonies...).
