On an area of more than 35 000m², a plantation of 291 trees were made in 1997. The first part puts together 8 different types of trees (leaves and pins) and after a few turns, you can discover the second part fully dedicated to the oaks. The technique for making this lace has been on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2010. The fine arts section has a permanent display of works from French, Italian and Scandinavian schools from the 17th to the 20th century: Boudin, Courbet, Fantin-Latour, Monanteuil, etc. Visitors will be amazed at the exceptional Cambodian collection from the last century.

The birthplace of Saint Thérèse - the house of her sainted parents Louis and Zélie - is open to visitors, giving an authentic look at how life was in those times. The guided tour follows the lives of the Martin family - Saints Louis and Zélie, Saint Thérèse de Lisieux and her sisters - through 5 locations around Alençon: the hall, with its historic gallery, the exhibition of personal items, the auditorium, the house and the chapel. A film based on family correspondence shows us family life in Alençon where she lived between 1871 and 1877. The setting recreates the atmosphere and youth of the young saint. Situated between the valleys of the Sarthe and Mayenne rivers, Cottage Seguin is an ideal base for exploring the towns of Sainte Suzanne, Saulges, Asnière-sur-Vègre and Solesmes. Le Cottage Seguin is also a very comfortable gîte, decorated to a very high standard. Everything has been carefully thought out to ensure you have a pleasant, relaxing stay. The rooms are bright and airy, and the veranda lets you enjoy the outdoors at any time of year. There's a large garden with fruit trees (cherry, pear, hazel) and a dining area under a canopy. Alone or in couples, the 2 bedrooms each have a shower room. The service is complete, with linen and towels included, only cleaning is optional (€40). The nearest shops are in Ballé, 5km away (bakery, mini-market and restaurant). A grocery shop selling local produce, "Chez Alice", is 9km away.
