As you follow the watercourse, you will discover the secrets of hydraulic power and industrial development in Thur Valley – some information panels are dotted along the way and take you back to a time when the Thur was lined with mills: paper mills, flour mills, oil mills etc. The trail leads you to Kruth-Wildenstein Lake, the largest reservoir in the Vosges Mountains, which is a fantastic base for leisure activities in the shadow of the ruins of Schlossberg Castle.

A fascinating trail, just right for young adventurers! Climb up the Schlossberg glacial rock bar, discover the history of former Wildenstein Castle and explore surprising places. This is what lies in store: lush green forests, rocks, caves, fortifications and, at the top, a splendid panoramic view.

Felsach Farm Inn, at an altitude of 3478 feet, is one of the entrances to the Grand Ventron Mountain Nature Reserve. This natural sanctuary is entered via the GR531, without leaving the marked trails.

Going from the Col du Hahnenbrunnen to Thann, this extract of the crossing of the Vosges Massif via the GR5 offers you a "concentrate" of the Hautes Vosges passing close to peaks such as the Klintzkopf, the Storckenkopf and climbing on the Grand Ballon.

Access : From the village of Bussang take the D89 and follow the direction "Le Drumont". - Duration: 50min - length: 1.4km - elevation: +40m Departure: Parking of the farm inn Le Drumont (7, route du Drumont). Pass the park chicane, on the left of the ferme auberge, and take the path that goes to the right and passes just above the farm. - Follow this path. Listen to the cowbells.... - At the intersection, take the path that goes up on the left up to the orientation table. Admire the view! You may be lucky enough to see paragliders take off...- From the orientation table, go down through the meadows on the opposite side. At the crossroads, take the left path that will lead you to the farm inn. You may see a donkey or pigs in the stable. Beware the access road to the Drumont is closed in winter. Enjoy a Swiss cheese tasting and learn more about the national dish: fondue.  Learn to make your own Swiss fondue and try the traditional dish.  After your meal, relax and climb on board the Golden Express, a panoramic train which crosses the alpine pastures and the heights of Lake Geneva. Le Grand Ventron, Ventron's highest point at 1,204 meters, offers an exceptional panorama of the Vosges peaks. An orientation table is set up on site, enabling visitors to identify the main peaks, as well as the famous Route des Crêtes. On cold, clear days, it's even possible to catch a glimpse of the Swiss Alps, revealed above a sea of mist, offering a rare and breathtaking spectacle. Just 500 metres to the south lies Petit Ventron, culminating at 1,155 metres. These two majestic stubble fields lie at the heart of the Massif du Grand Ventron Nature Reserve, a protected area home to remarkable flora and fauna. A must for nature lovers and mountain hikers alike.

Ventron has a iron source that is not to be missed: from the centre of Ventron, drive 3 km towards Thann and then turn left at a hairpin bend, towards "Auberge de la Chaume du Grand Ventron". After 2 km, you arrive at the refuge des Places, where you can park. The spring is on your right as you descend 30 m. On the spot, there is also a wish tree, on which the visitors of the place hang pieces of cloth and handkerchiefs to see their wishes come true.

A must-see in Ventron. This former weaving mill, with its architecture typical of the first textile factories, began operating in 1855 with 50 mechanical looms operated by 32 workers. A succession of machines enables visitors to understand the transformation of cotton from bale to thread, and from thread to all kinds of fabrics. Located at altitude, the Vosges Textile Museum is a great place to take a stroll and discover the Vosges mountains in a whole new way. Visits include spinning and weaving demonstrations, with machines and models in operation. Guided tours by appointment only. For groups, please bring a translator for foreign languages.

High place of resistance, the Chaume du Drumont was set on fire by the Germans on September 23, 1944. Hard fights were delivered by the Corps Franc Pommiés at the end of November 1944. A commemorating plaque raises the sacrifice of those volunteers. At 1,200 m, an orientation table erected by the French Alpine Club and dating from 1891 explains its amazing surrounding panorama view. A glance at the valley reveals Bussang, nestled on the side of the mountain Tête des corbeaux. The panorama of the Ballon d'Alsace, the Rossberg and the Grand Ballon is simply grandiose. To the south, in very clear weather, you can see the Swiss Alps. The panorama switches between wooded summits and urbanized valleys.

The Drumont is the summit of the Vosges mountains that overlooks Bussang, at an altitude of 1,200 metres. It offers a remarkable panorama. An orientation table erected by the French Alpine Club dating back to 1891 explains the wonderful circular panorama. A glance at the valley reveals Bussang, nestled on the side of the mountain the Tête des Corbeaux. The panorama over the Ballon d'Alsace, the Rossberg and the Grand Ballon is simply magnificent. In the south, you can see the Swiss Alps on a very clear day. The panorama displays wooded peaks and urbanized valleys. The Chaume du Drumont is a typical Vosges summer pasture where cows produce milk processed into Munster cheese and Tomme. There are marked trails for beginners and more advanced hikers. The summit is frequented by paragliders and scale modelling hobbyists flying their models. The Drumont was also a centre of resistance. The Chaume du Drumont was burnt by the Germans on 23 September 1944. A plaque evokes the sacrifice of volunteers during the battle of 1944. A farm inn offers local specialties and dormitories for hikers. The Drumont is inaccessible in winter because the road is not clear. The bravest can try to join it on snowshoes!

In the heart of the Hautes-Vosges (88), we are an educational farm nestled in a green setting. Come and discover our small farms and their traditional methods, and share a moment in contact with our animals through playful activities. We offer guided tours, themed workshops on biodiversity or do-it-yourself skills, pony rides, animal mediation sessions and farm snacks. All activities must be booked in advance. Le col de la Vierge, located to the east of the lake "Lac des Corbeaux", was the scene of several events that marked the history of the city of La Bresse. The first event is the following: a man was in a violent storm at this place. This man posed a statue of the Virgin Mary that he asked to save his life. This statuette is still visible in a tree today. Also in col de la Vierge, there is a monument to deportees from La Bresse to the Haute - Marne. In November 1944, the population was evacuated to Xoulces via Col de la Vierge before leaving for the Haute Marne. Women and children left the village on foot, through a blizzard.

The Etang des Chauproyes is a fishing pond, managed by an association. Fishing cards can be purchased: annual cards, 8 or 15 day holiday cards... Accessible to people with reduced mobility. Picnic tables on site.

Cross in honor of a lumberjack death by accident. This monument is located in the forest on the mountain bike circuit No. 3 (starting at the Col du Brabant). The refuge of the Louis Cross is located a few meters from there, to the south. Ability to shelter there for a meal from the bag, open access, open to all.

The church of Saint-Claude was built in 1854, a funeral chapel was built to receive the relics of Brother Joseph. Several restorations in 1905 and in 2012.
