A loop at the foot of the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees with beautiful hills on country roads. Departure from Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignan station towards St-Bertrand de Comminges. You will pass close to the Gargas caves. You will tackle a series of hills (Montoussé, St-Arroman, Mazouau, Hèches, Col de Coupe).

Then you reach Loures Barousse for a ride through the Barousse valley with some nice hills. After St-Bertrand de Comminges, the route is flat back to the starting point.

A lovely walk in the Pyrenean foothills for the whole family, young and old alike. Everyone will appreciate the peace and quiet of the surrounding area. This is more of a walk than a hike. A pleasant tour of the villages of Ardiège and Cier-de-Rivière with a few typical Comminges houses, squares and wash houses giving an idea of life in days gone by.

Works of art are installed in the middle of nature, on a hiking trail, for the pleasure of young and old curious. This walk invites you to take a close and artistic look at the natural environment. The artistic creation was entrusted to Coline Vergez, a local artist already well known in Simorre. His reflection on rural art and environmental concerns lead him to work with local artists and artisans for the realization of his 5 works and the signage of the course, using sustainable materials and/ or recovery. Discover the wild Labat valley, a stone's throw from the Occitanie grand site of "Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges - Valcabrère". This route, mainly through woodland, allows you to explore the surroundings of the city of Convènes. Although there are a few technical difficulties, it remains accessible and enjoyable in all seasons.

A family route providing access to tourist and natural sites: Barbazan lake, Saint-Just de Valcabrère basilica and the village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges with its beautiful cathedral. It is an old bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of Nizors Abbey. The town centre, dominated by the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption, still houses vestiges such as loopholes, walls and moats. Labelled "Station Verte" (Green resort) for nature holidays! The town of Boulogne, with two coats of arms, is an ancient bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Nizors. Nestled between Gascony and the Pyrenees, in the Pays de Comminges. The town centre, dominated by the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption, still houses vestiges of this bastide. Rich in this historical past, Boulogne sur Gesse remains the guarantor of local traditions and know-how. Surrounded by lakes, wooded and protected areas, this rural village is a peaceful holiday resort where its undulating landscapes form a restful area.

Hall built according to the project of the architect Achille Ambialet, in 1869. The town hall forms a monumental ensemble that brings together the functions of market, town hall and justice. It is a mixed structure with a main facade of dressed stone with traditional architectural decoration, and a metal structure for the market area.

In 1283, Abbot Taillefer, superior of the Cistercian abbey of Nizors, founded the bastide town of Boulogne. The church was started around this time but finalised later. It used to have a rectangular plan. Side chapels were added in the 15th century. The base of the square tower forms a vaulted porch, supported by large square pillars. The spire above the bell tower was destroyed by lightning in 1883 and rebuilt in 1890. The lower part is one of the rare testimonies of 14th century bastide architecture.

For the park, Baron de Lassus called upon the Bülher brothers, creators of the park of the "tête d'Or" in Lyon, the Borély park in Marseille and the Talleyrand property in Valençay... In 1902, the castle was extended to the east by a chapel whose stained glass windows, marbles and the Sacred Heart of L. Barrias can be admired. In 1912, the landscape gardener René Édouard André inserted two French-style flowerbeds: one to the north of the castle, the other to the south from which one can discover the view of the Pyrenees mountain range so loved by Bertrand de Lassus. This is a Roman building from the 11th and 12th Centuries. The Collégiale is an important Comminges religious site with its cloister and chapter house, which was one of the cathedral chapters, the clerics, established by Bishop Bertrand. Built in the 11th century and raised in the 12th century, the Collegiate Church houses a remarkable collection of Romanesque sculptures (capitals and bas-reliefs). You can also admire the three Aubusson tapestries dating from the middle of the 18th century, and the 17th-century organs with a Cavaillé-Coll instrument. The bell tower, built in the 19th century, has one of the finest carillonx in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Discover the cloister and chapter house (12th-13th centuries). This artistic project was born out of the desire of the ‘Food’ collective of the Bouche A Oreille cooperative to bring art to the ‘village kitchen garden’. The idea was not just to bring gardeners, villagers and visitors into contact with artistic works, but for them to be a vehicle for questioning and reflecting on the environment in which they are displayed: the kitchen garden. The artistic work of Coline Vergez, scenographer, is always a witness to the environment in which it takes place. She seeks to highlight and question it, while integrating her pieces within it. In this way, the works fit into a logic of harmony between materials, images that make sense and/or their utility. She created her first work ‘MMMMH!’ in the village of Simorre, as well as 5 ½uvres that make up the Sentier à p'Art - a 4km walking trail starting from Simorre based on the principle of Land'Art. ‘In this project, I want to remain faithful to this way of working and propose works that are fully integrated into the intention of the vegetable garden; that respect its gesture, reveal it and serve it. My artistic approach is intended to be accessible to everyone, in a language that is clear and easy to understand, and that does not compartmentalise. I want to speak to everyone and I want my work to speak to everyone". A little corner of the kitchen or...behind the scenes of life. This first work, installed in May 2020, highlights a central element of the kitchen that plays as essential a role in the processing of food as it does in that of the people who live there: its table. ‘I chose it for its most basic function. It's the heart of the kitchen, the place where food is cut and chopped, de-boned, sorted, cleaned, weighed, pressed... The place where food becomes a meal. But it's also the place where people reveal themselves, alone or to each other. I love the idea that a single edge of the kitchen table could have witnessed the birth of love, the passing of culinary or family secrets, the tearing apart of people, the making of major decisions, the creation of projects, the growth of children, the sharing of desires... No matter how insignificant, this little corner of the table works on living things, transforms them and makes them evolve. Its scale has been enlarged to emphasise its importance, but also to make it a useful structure in the vegetable garden. Both the chair and the table can accommodate climbing plants and cucurbits, and their heights allow the gardener to pick fruit with ease, while creating a shady spot in summer. In winter, the table is covered in strips of woollen fabric coloured with plants from the garden or picked nearby. Artistic structures for kitchen use. Un petit coin de cuisine ou...les coulisses de la vie’ is part of an overall concept that will see other installations created in the same spirit. The idea is that each artistic installation should be made up of three essential elements: it should provoke questioning, it should be useful and it should be legible. These elements will be developed in different ways for each piece. In this context, Coline's work will question what is not visible to the naked eye: the purpose of market gardening (for what purpose do we cultivate, how do we transform what grows there, what is the future of what we create there? etc.) or will highlight the invisible but essential players in the life of the vegetable garden (its microcosm: earthworm, beetle, lucanus, dragonfly, etc.). The works will all have a real function within the garden, whether in the gardening process, in providing amenities for native flora or fauna, or in improving the living spaces for gardeners or visitors. This work will be aimed at a lay audience and is intended to speak to everyone. Each person will interpret the works in their own way, depending on who they are and what their artistic background is, but the creations will use a very direct and clear visual language. To facilitate this, humour and paradox will be used to demystify art and make it accessible to everyone.

The 12-person gite offers dormitory accommodation (sleeps 8) as well as a large private family room (sleeps 4) and two bathrooms. During the warmer months, the Gîte Tilia welcomes hikers, cyclists, workers and travellers passing through. Each year we have continued to renovate and equip the 90m2 gîte so that we can offer quality tourist accommodation at a low price. Over four seasons, we've noticed that women and LGBT+ people don't always feel comfortable in mixed dormitories. In fact, as we only have one dormitory, we haven't always been able to promise a safe space when asked. That's why we'd like to tell you how our project has evolved, in line with our values and the needs we've identified. A more suitable and cosy space. With a view to reopening in 2025, we are going to reorganise the space so that we have a larger, more welcoming dormitory, as well as a private room that can accommodate a couple/family or a small group of friends. A safer space for women and LGBT+ people. We would like to make our space available for mixed periods for women and LGBT+ people, so that we can welcome them in a more inclusive, respectful and secure facility.
