Ce lieu est l’un des plus beaux coups d’oeil du Limousin. C’est un gigantesque chaos rocheux perché à 650 m d’altitude d’où le regard s’étale à perte de vue à plus de 50 km. On aperçoit, 300 m plus bas, le bourg de La Jonchère-Saint-Maurice.

Un arboretum exceptionnel qui compte 250 espèces dont certains arbres sont records de hauteur en France et en Europe.

Chaussez vos bottes pour explorer la réserve naturelle où vivent une faune et une flore d'une incomparable richesse. La Maison de la réserve, à Sauvagnac accueille le public. Deux circuits permettent de découvrir cet environnement si particulier.

Elodie Lacroix is a qualified independent instructor (BPJEPS), experienced, pedagogical, friendly and warm. She listens to the riders and their mounts. She gives lessons (coaching, training, passing of gallops) with your horse (in group or individual), for all levels, young and old and all this in a joyful and good mood.

Singletracks Bike Park in the Monts du Limousin straddles 3 communes and caters for beginners and experienced mountain bikers from all over France. Before being the only Bike Park of its kind in France, it is first and foremost the spot of the Singletracks Assos, a group of buddies who shapone the trails. With a vertical drop of 300 m, you can hurtle down 16 trails from green to black over 150 ha. Whatever your age or level, you'll be able to jump, bend, flow and take on a few dirt bumps at the top of the spot. Take advantage of the shuttle lifts, the Pumptrack and all the other facilities on offer.

No other site in France boasts so many "remarkable" trees! The arboretum boasts 250 species, some of which are the tallest trees in France and Europe. This enchanting site is ideal for walking (10 km of trails) and daydreaming around the pond, and can be visited freely in any season, or with the "Arboretum de la Jonchère 87" mobile app to get to the foot of the giants. In 1884, magistrate Henri Gérardin and landscape architect André Laurent founded the 7-hectare Pépinière de l'Étang. In this green setting, one of the oldest in France and now covering 40 hectares, the Office National des Forêts has identified cedars, redwoods, 5 handkerchief trees, a century-old beech, incense cedars, bald cypresses? Activities: guided group tours, forest biodiversity outings, recognition of Limousin trees.

Air Expérience is a professional paragliding school whose aim is to help you discover the region?s various free-flight sites, such as the Monts d?Ambazac, 15 minutes from Limoges. It is approved by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports and affiliated to the Fédération Française de Vol Libre. Services: tandem, "progression" course, discovery weekend, 5-day course.

Classified as a nature reserve, the site offers the chance to walk among ashy heather, mountain arnica, sphagnum moss (a type of plant sponge that retains up to 30 times its own weight in water), absorbent cotton (white cottony balls) and drosera, a small carnivorous plant. Walkers can also observe the Dolomède, a spider that hunts on the surface of the water. Two trails (2 and 5 km) allow you to explore the site. The departmental application "Les illusions des Dauges" (Explor Games© to download beforehand) provides a fun way to learn about the management, fauna and flora of the peat bog. The CEN Nouvelle-Aquitaine organizes exhibitions and free outings during the summer.
