ViaRhôna - Stage 6 - from Belley to Groslée through St-Genix-sur-Guiers

Through a journey punctuated with visual and sound effects, Louis Mandrin, a famous smuggler from the 18th century invites you to discover his universe: taverns, woods and hideouts in which he used to go. You may even be able to do some business with him!Le Repaire Louis Mandrin- Mandrin's hideout - is located in Saint-Genix-sur-Guiers, in the heart of the Pays du Lac d'Aiguebelette - Savoie foreland, last place where Mandrin lived as a free man. He was considered as a great smuggler however people have different points of view about him. Either he is considered as a nice smuggler similar to Robin Hood or he is a smuggler murderer who should not be remembered as a Robin Hood. Come and have your say. Indeed, you can travel in time with all your family and get to know a part of French History, follow Mandrin in his last adventure and maybe become a smuggler as well.

The diversity of its facilities attracts families and fans of outdoor sports: swimming area and water material rentals, playgrounds and picnic areas, health trail/fitness area, beach volleyball and tennis, fishing, mini golf, snack bar.Depth up to 6 m, area 15 ha. Open all year, paid access from 01/06 to 31/08. Activities: fishing, picnic, tennis, bowling, diving platform, fitness trail, collective playground, land games with adapted games for disabled people, fitness area, bar and fast food. Swimming only in summer. Barbecues are strictly forbidden. Huts and beach setted up. Summer activity from 01/06 to 31/08: - Supervised swimming - Many water games - Pedal boat: for the whole family (pedal boat 4 people no minimum age - lifejackets provided) - Paddle - Rosalie walk for the whole family Information and ticket sale on site. Many activities during the season (Night of the Lake in August subject to fire restrictions, karaoke evening...) Snack open from 01/04 to 31/10.
