Snowshoe itinerary : Mont-Lachat via Les Reys

Every day, from 21/12/2024 to 05/01/2025 inclusive and from 08/02/2025 to 09/03/2025 inclusive, a free shuttle will connect Cernix, the village of Crest- Voland and Le Paravy. Accessible to all, pedestrians, snowshoes, sleds and skiers

The church of Crest-Voland, which is dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady, was built between 1863 and 1866 on the site of the old 16th century church.The neo-Gothic style church has a single nave with three spans, separated by granite pillars, and a large, low-built chancel. Note the beautiful stained glass windows installed in 1913, the bright colours of the paintings inside and the altars made from white Carrare marble. The bell tower houses a collection of ten bells which ring regularly everyday.

Situated at the heart of Crest-Voland’s municipal forest, the Refuge du Lachat offers the perfect setting for a meal stop with your loved ones. You’ll find a relaxed atmosphere, sunny terrace and the chance to taste some regional dishes.As far as possible, the refuge tries to use good locally-grown, organic produce in its cooking. They work mainly using un-processed ingredients, with the team taking great pleasure to cook simple, homemade dishes. The lunchtime menu changes slightly according to the season : In the summer, we mainly offer savoury and sweet crêpes as well as homemade pastries and cakes. In the winter, our menu is enhanced with tasty, regional dishes that will recharge the batteries of our ski enthusiasts and will show off our most famous regional food.

Working mainly with raw produce, the team enjoys spending time in the kitchen preparing simple, home-style cooking. Our menu features gourmet and regional dishes to recharge the batteries of our ski enthusiasts and introduce them to the region's most iconic dishes.
