Le Cernix - Mont Lachat n°9

The chair lift links the village (1230 m) with the top of Mont-Lachat (1650 m). In the summer, it also offers access to the Lachat lake and to various footpaths and mountain bike trails and in the winter, to the Espace Diamant cross-country ski area.

A simple wayside shrine in 1663, the chapel dedicated to Saint Aubin and Saint François de Sales was blessed in 1668. The facade has a recess, font and the date of the blessing. The tavaillon-covered roof is topped with an open pyramid-shaped pinnacle.

It gives access from the hamlet of Cernix to the summit of Mont Lachat (1650 m). Ski lift giving access in winter to the alpine ski area of Crest-Voland Cohennoz, to the Espace Diamant slopes and to the Nordic area of Les Saisies.
