Lac de Lessy par Paradis

Stop off at the refuge de Lessy, a warm and welcoming mountain refuge where simplicity is the order of the day.This refuge is situated on the edge of Lac de Lessy, set against a fabulous mountain backdrop. Its owners are also alpine farmers. The refuge sleeps 24 (overnight or half-board).The refuge is equipped with running water but no shower.

Located at the base of the Pic du Jallouvre, Lake of Lessy extend its territorial waters in the high and green mountain pastures. It has been opened for fishing in 2009, following some works to stop loss of water.Salmon has been well acclimatized and can reach a good size, you will have a recreative and pleasant fishing moment: To access the lake of Lessy, you have choices : by Mayse, by Paradis or by Cenise. Do not hesitate to ask us for informations.

The lake of Lessy is a high altitude lake located at 1730 m of altitude in Haute-Savoie, on the commune of Glières-Val-de-Borne (Petit-Bornand-les-Glières) in the Aravis massif. The access is only by hiking.This natural jewel nestled in the heart of the mountain pastures and at the foot of the Jallouvre and the Aiguille Verte offers a real postcard landscape. The various hiking trails to reach the lake are of medium to difficult difficulty: Cenise, Paradis & Mayse. It will take at least 3 hours to get there. It is a place not to be missed in our territory. From the top of the ridge, you will have magnificent views of the Aravis mountain range, Lake Geneva and Lake Lessy. The lake shelters a remarkable fauna and flora which it is necessary to preserve to continue to be enchanted by this magic site.
