Sentier pédestre : circuit des coteaux

After two years of massive works, the Château des Rubins has become the Observatoire des Alpes (Alps Observatory). All year round, a modern, fun and interactive exhibition is available for the whole family to visit on the theme of Mountains with a capital M.

The first construction of this chapel took place in 1637 on the spot where there is a cross today; it was then rebuilt from 1832 to 1833 by local inhabitants. It is dedicated to St Roch. It is the largest chapel in the town.

Formerly, the Chapelle de la Pierre was a building that contained both a chapel and a school. A teacher taught children there funded by donations by émigrés. It was Abbé Serasset who suggested to locals that this chapel be built (1856-1860).

The Immaculate Conception chapel was built between 1855 and 1857 and was officially dedicated on 4 October 1857. The inhabitants built this chapel for the glory of Mary Immaculate. You can see it from the town centre, overlooking Sallanches.

This church in Sardinian Neoclassical style, built in 1847, was elevated to a collegiate church in 1893. Dedicated to St Jacques, it has a relic of the saint conserved in the "treasury". It has enjoyed Historic Monument status since 1974.
