The Fort de Vauville, a listed Historic Monument, was built in the 18th century and designed by Louis XIV's architect, Sébastien de Vauban. This small stronghold was built to protect the French coast.
The only house on the beach, the Fort de Vauville is certainly rustic but a unique place in France. Imagine waking up with your coffee and enjoying a breathtaking view of the sea on the terrace, just for you. With your feet in the water, swimming is within arm's reach! Sunshine, walks and lunch outside will delight you! Le Fort is fully rented and is especially suitable for adults who love a change of scenery and atypical houses with character. We welcome you during the season and invite you to discover the region: the Botanical Garden of Vauville but also the whole Cap de la Hague. Nature in the wild! Vauville is a traditional village typical of the Nord-Cotentin region. You will discover its old wash-house, its castle and its charming church. But above all you will enjoy the fabulous panoramas offered by the numerous walks and in particular the discovery of the nature and ornithological reserve whose entrance is located 200m from the Fort. Windsurfing on the beach of Vauville, swimming pool and relaxation area at Beaumont-Hague, tennis, jogging, life in the open air!
