Lago di Prevourey

The parking is located in the village centre, next to Town Hall, nordic area playgrounds and two minutes from the road to the waterfall, the via ferrata. The caravan area has power and drinking water supply and toilet.We accept caravan all year round on the large area provided with drinking water and power supply, toilets, shower (only in summer). No RV dump station (you can drain in the toilets). Cost is 5€ (paiment on site). Winter snow removal is included.

Very well located hut, with beautiful scenery. Local pastoralism remains .The Louvet's hut is very basic and offers the same comfort as usual in mountain huts, it is a clean and safe place. On the ground floor there is a wood stove and a table with 2 benches. On the first floor there is a sleeping place for a small group. You will find water on a basin near the hut. We recommend up to bring matches and small candles to light your evening. Be sure to take back all your trash with you, there is no toilets and you are in a protected natural area, please keep this in mind.

Beautiful lake in the middle of a cirque of magnificent mountains. Many animals have chosen to live here, many flowers blooming, a place to contemplate.The lake is located in the middle of a beautiful meadow by the river Gulliman, Prévourey Lake is one of the jewels of Taillefer massif. Ecologically rich, home to a multitude of plants and flowers that give the Taillefer the name the Dauphiné's garden. It´s a perfect walk destination for everyone, with either easy or difficult routes, Easily reachable, even for families with pushchairs. Please don´t go off the path, and don't walk too much on the lake's banks. You are in a very rich but fragile area, Protect nature, it deserves it.

Discover the testimony of the Resistance members of the village.Even in our remote areas, the war has provoked many tragedies. Between August the 7th and the 13th of 1944, Resistance members were hidden in mountains. German troops arrived one morning from the top of the Serriou (on skilifts side). They arrested and gathered all men and took them to Grenoble. German troops also arrested 9 Polish Resistance members who had ran away from La Mure and were afraid of being enlisted. They were shot near this monument, 3 of them were 19 years old, two of them were 21, another 2 of them were 22 and older ones were between 24 and 38. In reprisal, several hotels and houses were burned. After that, German troops continued to Poursollet where other resistance membres were hidden. These members were caught on 13th of August, 11 of them were killed and only 2 managed to escape.

Impetuous mountain torrent, particularly beautiful and cold, nice to go fish and designed to get introduced to canyoning with a perfect track perfect for beginner.The Guilliman is born at Brouffier Lake which feed it throughout the year. It gets down in an abrupt way to the station creating many nice waterfalls. It digs a fold in the Prévourey cirque and houses the famous waterfall via ferrata, easily accessible for family. Then its profile gets smoother on the plateau of the pass, before diving to the Romanche valley on Sechilienne side. It´s very popular among hikers as well as local fishermen. In short, it's a nice, wild, impetuous and alive mountain stream! Near the waterfall in the village, you can see an old mechanical sawmill that was feeded by the torrent and has stopped working since 30's.
