35 - Boucle entre Forteresse et Canal - Ville de Saint-Amand-Montrond

Départ: Lac de Virlay (au bord du lac, après le parking de l'aire du camping-car)
Traversez le Cher dans les pas du Grand Condé en contournant la forteresse de Montrond. Poursuivez par le Canal de Berry et le centre ville historique de Saint-Amand avec ses hôtels particuliers.
Terminez par un tour du lac de Virlay pour observer les hirondelles et guêpiers qui nichent à proximité dans les berges du Cher au printemps et les hérons garde-bœufs qui viennent dormir tous les soirs sur l’île au milieu du lac.

Cross the Cher river in the footsteps of the Grand Condé, around the Montrond fortress. Continue via the Canal de Berry and the historic town center of Saint-Amand-Montrond with its mansions.
End around of Virlay Lake to observe the swallows and bee-eaters which nest nearby on the banks of the Cher river in spring and the cattle egrets which come to sleep every evening on the island on the islands of lake.
