Le Châtel
Descripción
Le Châtel stretches from Hermillon at an altitude of 500 metres to the summit of the Grand Coin (2730 metres).
The presence of an ancient Roman road explains why this plateau has long been occupied and dotted with ancient buildings.
The cradle of the House of Savoy, the Tour Bérold de Saxe, whose origin remains a mystery, has dominated the Maurienne valley for over 1000 years.
