Old fortified house remodeled in the 18th century. Vaulserre presents one of the most beautiful combinations of architecture, decorations and landscapes of the Dauphiné.
Located 5km from Chartreuse natural park, the castle is an old fortified house remodeled in the 18th century. Its rigorously ordered main façade is adorned with a sculpted triangular pediment. The vestibule is decorated with magnificent wall trompe-l'oeil of Italian influence. House of decorations and colors made to seduce, Vaulserre presents one of the most beautiful combinations of architecture, decorations and landscape of the Dauphiné, witness of the art of living of a large family in the 18th century.
The castle was the setting for Jean Paul Rappeneau's film "Le Hussard sur le Toit" with Olivier Martinez and Juliette Binoche.
