Christophe Lauduique, a Companion of the Thiers Brotherhood of Knife and Blade manufacturers, manufactures pocket knives which reproduce the dual-nail folding system used in the Pyrenees in the past by country folk and farmers. The handles are engraved with various symbols from the Labourd, the Lower Navarre and the Soule: The three French provinces in the Basque Country. His workshop and "pocket museum" are home to a unique exhibition in France, presenting flick knives from French regions dating back to the 18th century and up to nowadays, in addition to an exhibition showcasing ancient Basque makilas.
