Domaine de Sarros is the most easterly of the Jurançon vineyards. It is located in the commune of Gelos.
The estate's vines, which face south/south-east, are planted at an altitude of 250 to 270 meters on the famous slopes of the Pyrenean foothills. The subsoil is composed of pudding and siliceous debris, ideal for the development of Jurançon?s specific grape varieties: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Lauzet. With a surface area of 2.12 hectares (5,000 vines per hectare) farmed organically, the Sarros estate dates back to the early 19th century. It was renovated and replanted in 2005, returning it to a winegrowing vocation abandoned since the Second World War. The estate's surface area, cultivation methods and winemaking processes reflect our determination to produce authentic, rare wines that fully reflect the specificity of our terroir.
