The Clos de la Vierge – Cancaillou is located in the centre of Lahourcade, a typical little Béarnaise village, at the gateway to the Jurançon AOP region and near to Monein. The 16 hectare estate was set up in 1945 and has been passed down from generation to generation. The typically Béarnaise house is built from pebbles, and there is a cellar in the old out-buildings, equipped for modern winemaking, which is carried out by winemaker Anne-Marie Barrère. The domain offers a range of five different wines. Guided tours, tastings and direct sales are on offer.
