Description
Sophie, Céline and Didier Gaugeacq live in the Landes region, 5 kilometres outside Montfort-en-Chalosse. There, you can tour the fortified town and the Chalosse Museum, which recounts the lives of 19th century tenant farmers. On the fertile hillsides of Cassen, they raise ducks which they fatten traditionally with maize grown on the family farm. Discover the house specialities: duck breast stuffed with foie gras, lightly cooked foie gras, foie gras pâté, duck rillons (candied morsels), and more. To truly savour them, settle in comfortably at the family’s inn next door. Want to take advantage of walking tours in town and beyond? Extend your stay in Chalosse and book the accommodation of your choice with Sophie, Céline or Didier in their guesthouse or their self-catering cottage, Maison Barbé (subject to availability).
