Lake Ailette

A lake created from scratch! This was indeed the idea that took shape in the early 1980s when the Aisne Departmental Council selected this site to build a water sports centre. It opened to the public in 1985, before welcoming the Pierre & Vacances group in 2007, which built the third Center Parcs holiday resort there, the Domaine du Lac de l’Ailette (named after the river that feeds it).
