Temporairement fermé - Domaine Départemental Gérard Lagors
Description
Due to the fires in summer 2022, only the beaches and the tour of the Bourg and Lamothe lakes are accessible. Apart from these, access to the entire Domaine Départemental d?Hostens and the Gât-Mort lagoons is forbidden until further notice. Work is underway to make the site safe, and there is a significant risk of falling trees and landslides.
The former Hostens brown coal quarries now form a 600-hectare natural area of lakes and forest. Owned by the Conseil Départemental de la Gironde, the area has been developed for the discovery of the environment and the practice of outdoor leisure activities.
