Ferme de Brion, in Montpon, has been run by the Montant family for decades.
Sylvie cultivates vegetables using integrated farming methods: using manure from the 34 cows or organic fertilizers, biodegradable or woven mulch, mechanical or manual weeding, integrated pest management using auxiliary insects, and insect-proof veils to protect the crops.
François, her husband, raises cows and produces veal under the mother, renowned for its quality.
On-site, an attractive boutique showcases the work of local producers: ice creams, dairy products, asparagus, rusks, poultry, foie gras and many other local flavors.
