A haven of nature and peace, this long stretch of water is a delight for anglers and walkers alike. Artificially created in the 1980s, it stretches between the Pimpine stream and the old Bordeaux-Sauveterre railroad line, and has been rehabilitated as a greenway. If you don't make too much noise, you'll come across turtles, frogs, ducks, moorhens, birds and a variety of fish. Although swimming is forbidden, walking, picnicking and fishing are recommended. Fishing cards are available from the Fédération peche33 or specialist stores. Pond population: roach, carp, bream, black bass, perch, pike, eel. Trout releases are organized; find out more on the website of the AAPPMA, which has been managing fishing on the pond since 2016. Fishing cards are mandatory.
