Aiko Konomi, Japanese craftswoman specializing in Aubusson tapestry.
Discover original works available for sale, and have your tapestry made to measure. Visits are available by appointment? a unique encounter with this living savoir-faire and a great opportunity to discover the poetry of thread, as well as the finesse of a vision from Japan.
I arrived in Aubusson in 2014, where I learned the specific techniques of Aubusson tapestry and took part in numerous private and public projects. With a background in traditional Japanese weaving techniques and over 25 years of experience in textiles, I have developed a know-how that I now apply to every creation.
I have also shared my know-how at conferences and public events in Japan.
