Description
On trouvait au vivier les rouissoirs pour la plupart d’anciennes tourbières, on y pêchait, récoltait les roseaux, le foin. En 1873 seuls existaient le vivier communal et un petit vivier Macquart. Les viviers actuels, série de bassin de refroidissement, seront aménagés lorsque la compagnie de Mines d'Aniche construit en 1926 une première centrale électrique.
