Lake Ailette

At the end of the 1970s, it was decided to create this artificial reservoir, which in 1984 became home to a departmental leisure centre and a golf course.

In 2007, the Pierre & Vacances group opened France's third Center Parcs, the Domaine du Lac de l'Ailette.

Since its creation, the lake has been home to many migratory bird species, which is why it has been classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF)...
