Managed by the local fishing club, the pond is a haven of tranquility for fish farming. Its intriguing name may come from a confusion between "fée" and "fie", which means "spruce" in Vosges dialect, echoing the dense forests that surround this natural area. On its banks, the Valtin's granitic soil creates ideal conditions for the development of a carpet of fine grasses, notably flexuous Canche, which adds a touch of magic to the landscape. This enchanting setting evolves further into a heath of Callune and Myrtille, reinforcing the wild and unspoilt atmosphere of the site.
