Day 2: From Place à Baban to Plainpalais
Description
After surveying the Margériaz cliff, the exit at the top of the ridges offers a magnificent panorama of the Bauges and as far as Mont-Blanc. The old Baban hut, now restored as a bivouac site, promises a rustic evening.

2/ 1- Go uphill on the Tannes et Glacières trail as far as the Grand Rafou crossroads, at the top of the forest. - 2- Turn left towards Col de la Verne. - 3- Still on the GRP, go down the pass to Les Chavonnes. - 4- Follow the slope under the Margériaz cliffs towards Labiaz and then Col de Plainpalais, where you'll come back to the start.
