
The last stage of this great Baujue traverse crosses the Peney cliff at the Col de la Doria. This is where the rainwater that has infiltrated the plateau cascades down to the surface, like a Geopark wink to the hiker leaving the massif!

6/ 1Go up opposite the church at Les Déserts-la Combe. Follow the road and then a track to Les Charmettes. - 2- At the entrance to the hamlet, turn right. Climb on a balcony to the small Préteret chalet (gate), then gently downhill through pastures. At the top, follow the wetlands to the right, then turn right into the forest (gates). Descend to the right to reach the Col de la Doriaz (1,138 m). - 3-From Col de la Doriaz, descend along an obvious but fairly steep path. Reach a footbridge under the Doriaz resurgence (930 m; Sous le trou de la Doriaz ). - 4-Cross the footbridge. Continue for 250 m and join the Nivolet forest track. Take the left-hand track down to Lovettaz. - 5-Below the hamlet, leave the bend in the road (calvary) and continue south. The path passes through meadows and then forest. At the end of the forest, take the path opposite which crosses the end of a road at an angle before reaching the dwellings. At the end of the chemin de Laguerraz, turn left, then right into rue de Réjouie. Turn right onto route de la Bémaz. - 6-At the traffic circle, turn left towards the buildings, then right before them. Join route de Saint-Saturnin, boulevard des Monts and montée Hautebise. When you reach Chambéry, the train station is on your right.
