DAY 2: From Semnoz to Bellecombe-en-Bauges
Description
The second, shorter stage reaches the heart of the Bauges. The descent from Semnoz leads to the Col de Leschaux. A final climb, a passage to the Sollier mountain pasture dominated by the Roc des Boeufs, and you're already in Bellecombe-en-Bauges!

2/ 1- From the Hôtel, climb to the summit of the Semnoz (Crêt de Châtillon) and descend to the large Courant d'Ere building - 2- Take the D110 for a short while, go through the hairpin bend and 200 m further on, take the right-hand path which descends into the mountain pastures and then the forest. Pass over the Chalets du Villard and reach the D110 at the Croisée du Villard - 3- Cross the road and continue down the forest path. Join a road coming out of the forest and reach the village of Leschaux (930 m). - 4- Leave Leschaux on an old track and reach the Col de Leschaux (900 m). Opposite, follow the D10 for about 2 km. - 5- At the Chapelle-Saint-Maurice crossroads (940 m), without entering the village, turn right on the pastoral road to Créterny (1060 m). Climb the steep left-hand path through the forest and then the alpine pastures to the Chalets du Sollier (1440 m). - 6- Cross the chalets, then descend the pastoral track under the Roc des Bœufs to the hamlet of Mont Derrière (1030 m). Follow the downhill road to the next junction. Turn left towards Mont Devant (1023 m). Continue straight ahead to the Roc des Bœufs gîte.
