DAY 1: Annecy to Semnoz
Description
Leaving Annecy and its lake behind, this stage heads south along the forested ridge of the Semnoz. Arriving at the crêt de Châtillon, in the mountain pastures, the 360° landscape is revealed. Spending the night at the summit of Semnoz is an unforgettable experience!

1/ 1- Depart from the left bank of Lake Annecy. Go to the Les Marquisats parking lot, then take the steep path that climbs to the right through the woods. Reach "Gaillard" (530 m) (cross the D41 twice). Reach the Terrasses du Lac restaurant - 2- The climb continues through the Crêt-du-Maure forest. From elevation 730, the GR® runs on a balcony above the lake as far as the Montagne Sud crossroads - 3- After this crossroads, turn away from the lake side. Cross the Semnoz mountain, and come out at a bend in the Grand-Roc forest road (Les Sables 920 m) - 4- Follow the Grand-Roc forest road for 1 km. Leave it in a bend to take a path opposite. Cross a forest road, pass under a power line (1150 m) and reach the Bénévent hut (1350 m). - 5- Continue, sometimes on forest roads, sometimes on footpaths, towards the crêt de la Grande-Danne. Leave it on the right. Pass under a second power line (Plateau de la Danne), (1505 m) join the D41 and follow it for 50 m, then take the path on the right to arrive behind the Hôtel des Rochers Blancs. under the Crêt de Chatillon (1702 m),
