Description
The stage begins by crossing the Margériaz karst plateau, typical of the Bauges Geopark. From the crests, the next day's route is already visible: Nivolet, La Féclaz resort. Beyond lie the Chartreuse and Belledonne massifs.

5/ 1- Leave Aillon via the Margériaz forest to reach the Place à Baban (1340 m) - 2- Follow the tannes et glacières discovery trail, which reveals the karstic relief, to reach the Col de la Verne (1517 m) - 3- From the col, descend to the hamlet of Les Chavonnes, then follow the slopes of Mont Margériaz - 4- Pass through the hamlet of La Labiaz (1060 m). 4- Pass through the hamlet of La Labiaz (1060 m), then descend towards La Combe, les Deserts - 5- Reach the hotel Le Margériaz, near the river Leysse.
