




The Jarsy/Aillon crossing is very forested, with beautiful beech-fir forests. The forest covers 60% of the massif, and is often managed in a sustainable way: wood production, public access and biodiversity conservation are the challenges to be reconciled!

4/ 1- Leave Jarsy and descend to the village of École (you may prefer to stop at the gîte des Landagnes in École) and climb the long ridge of the Bois de la Fullie towards the Col de la Fullie. - 2- Turn left to reach the chalets de la Fullie and pass under the Col de la Cochette (1650 m) - 3- Turn right and descend through the Bois de Saint Bruno to the Chartreuse d'Aillon, then reach the hamlet of Crévibert and the main town of Aillon-le-Jeune - 4 - The communal gîtes d'étape are located next to the Val d'Aillon cheese dairy.
