Lac des Barthes
Description
In Biron, a village near Orthez, home of Gaston Phoebus. The Lac des Barthes is close to the Base de Loisirs de Biron, another developed lake.
A real fishing center awaits you! With a total water surface area of 22 ha, this site comprises 3 lakes:
- An 8-hectare carnadrôme (home to black bass and zander) where float tube fishing is authorized. This lake is in ?reserve? for 2010.
- A 3 ha carpodrôme. No-kill/take-and-release course.
- An 11-hectare all-techniques lake (carnivorous fish and whitefish), with access for people with reduced mobility via a path and two platforms (tourism and handicap label pending).
The site was built on a former gravel pit, with water drawn from the water table.
