At Saint-Médard, in this artisanal farm-distillery, whisky is brewed, fermented, distilled, aged, bottled and created from the cereals grown on the farm (corn, rye, buckwheat).
The whisky is aged on site in oak barrels, new barrels that have been "bousiné" (burnt inside), giving it the coppery hue so characteristic of Bourbon whisky.
After three years' ageing, the first bottles of Labarrère 1773 whisky will be available at the end of 2024.
Sometimes woody, sometimes caramelized or floral, Labarrère 1773 will offer a new experience with each series.
During the tour, visitors can discover the entire whisky-making process, from seed to bottle.
