
Bordered by the banks of the Briande and the woods of Angliers, the village revolves around the paths of lime trees planted in 1837 to replace elms defeated by time and which belonged to the domain of the castle. Former stronghold, mentioned very early in a diploma of Clovis II, dating from 644, Angliers can avail of an early human implantation, notably by the discovery of bronze weapons on its territory. Admire its 17th-century castle, whose most illustrious owner was Prince Henri de la Tour d'Auvergne-Lauragais, and the church of Saint-Martin dating from the 12th century, It was remodeled in the 19th century in a Gothic style with a bell tower over 33 metres high.
